| OSN 2005 Annual ConferenceThe Oklahoma Sustainability Network (OSN) hosted its fourth annual conference, “Building Bridges to a Sustainable Oklahoma,” Friday, April 8, 2005 on the OSU campus in Stillwater. This year's event featured L. Hunter Lovins, an international leader in sustainability efforts, as the keynote speaker.
Concurrent sessions covered such topics as rainwater harvesting, solar retrofitting your hot water tank for off-the grid living, calculations for passive heat use, small-scale use of photovoltaics and geo-thermal heat pumps, watershed and wetlands enhancement, Oklahoma's sustainable food choices, trends toward sustainable food systems, progress with bio-diesel fuel, how to build a sustainable community, Oklahoma transportation solutions, Oklahoma business success stories, faith-based ecology and influencing public policy for sustainability. |

| OSN 2004 Annual ConferenceThe Oklahoma Sustainability Network (OSN) is hosted its 2004 conference, Sustainable Oklahoma--Actions Speak Louder than Words, Friday, March 12 at the Oklahoma College of Continuing Education on the OU campus in Norman.
The third annual conference for OSN, featured Mathis Wackernagel, Ph.D as the keynote speaker. Wackernagel is the Founder and Executive Director of the Ecological Footprint Network (www.ecofoot.net), an organization which advances rigorous natural capital accounts to make sustainability requirements measurable and relevant. Mathis has worked on sustainability issues for organizations in Europe, Latin America, North America and Australia. Well known internationally for his leadership in the sustainability realm, he has lectured for community groups, government agencies, NGOs, and academic audiences at more than 100 universities on 5 continents. |

| OSN 2003 Annual ConferenceOur new Secretary of state, Susan Savage, was our luncheon speaker. She talked about her strategy for a sustainable Oklahoma. Following the luncheon speaker, support networking efforts, we again had all attendees introduce themselves. Mike Bergey brought a wind generator and Bruce Johnston displayed his solar cookers and other items from their off-the-grid home. |
